View Field Issac continued on his winning way taking out Supreme Exhibit of Show at the Boonah Show last weekend.
LAST week the Moreton Border News and its sister publication the Fassifern Guardian reported on the success of Tallegalla graziers Shane and Sarah Hauschildt and their View Field stud.
We wrote about how their bull View Field Isaac claimed the Supreme Exhibit Award at the Droughtmaster Futurity Show in March and continued to win the tricolour and supreme ribbons.
Marburg Show was the first on the West Moreton and Brisbane Valley show circuit and this year, View Field Issac took out Supreme Exhibit of Show, Champion Interbreed of Show and Champion Tropical Bull of Show.
He was also judged Grand Champion Tropical Bull at the Ipswich Show.
Last weekend, View Field Issac was judged Supreme Exhibit of Show in the Stud Beef section at the Boonah Show.
“After the write up about Issac in the Moreton Border News and the Fassifern Guardian, we felt like rock stars,” Shane said.
“People who read the article sought Issac out, wanting to see him.
“Then there was the pressure because it was such a great article, we wanted him to keep winning.
“We were very happy with all of our results and the Supreme Exhibit of Show was icing on the cake.”
Other cattle shown by the Hauschildts also added to the ribbon tally.
They were View Field James with 3rd in Class; View Field Ali won 1st in Class (out of 17); View Field Molly was selected as Reserve Champion Senior Droughtmaster Female; and second place in the View Field Breeders group.
There were 130 head of stud cattle at Boonah Show, 41 of which were Droughtmasters.
“Many of the cattle we went up against, we hadn’t previously,” he said.
“The bull we won with [Issac] is pretty much what we are trying to breed.
“He has good bones for a Droughtmaster bull and he’s double polled which seems to be the preference these days.”
The Hauschildts are regular participants in shows and competitions.
“We do the West Moreton and Brisbane Valley sub-chamber circuit and have done for many years,” he said. [The sub chamber includes Marburg, Boonah, Ipswich, Kalbar, Toogoolawah, Lowood, Rosewood, Laidley and Esk shows].
“We’ve won quite a few ribbons over the years with our cattle.”
