Loud shirts for an important cause at Rosewood Drakes
1 min read

A TOTAL of $870 was raised at Rosewood Drakes for Loud Shirt Day.

Funds raised on the day from $2 tokens sold in store will help support deaf children listen and speak.

Loud Shirt Day encourages all those who put up their hand to be involved to wear bright clothes to create awareness and to raise money towards providing deaf children with the gift of sound and speech, and to support them on their journey.

Store Manager Tanya Hanley said that the store gave the staff an opportunity to be involved.

“Just listening to the stories that some of the parents have told us about the numerous operations that their child has endured, the money that they have had to pay to help their child hear and also the amount of time spent away from other family members when their child is hospitalised for treatment is heartbreaking,” she said.

“We are very proud to be a part of this fundraiser and will continue to do so for many years to come.”
