Ipswich Supercars excitement builds in less than 100 days
1 min read

THE countdown is on to Supercars’ highly anticipated return to Queensland Raceway, with less than 100 days until the first series is staged in Ipswich since 2019.

The Ipswich Super440 program is from August 8-10 - the eighth event of this year’s Repco Supercars Championship season.

The Queensland Raceway motorsport feast will also be the deciding round in the inaugural Sprint Cup. At the end of the event, the championship leader will earn an automatic entry to the first Supercars Finals series.

The Ipswich event will be a home race for 2024 Supercars champion Will Brown, who hails from Toowoomba and races for Brisbane-based Triple Eight Race Engineering.

Brown and Gold Coast-born teammate Broc Feeney are expecting big crowds for the championship’s return to “The Paperclip”, where Supercars will hold three races across the August weekend.

The event will also include the popular “two-by-four” crossover where the Australian Superbike Championship will be run on the weekend, along with the Dunlop Super2 Series, Porsche Carrera Cup Australia and Toyota GR Cup.

The Repco Supercars Championship returns to action this weekend, racing on the Apple Isle at the Snowy River Caravans Tasmania Super440.

Tickets and corporate hospitality options for Supercars events can be found via Supercars.com and Ticketek.
