Merry Christmas from the Tribune team
1 min read

THIS is the final edition of the Ipswich Tribune for 2022.

Our first edition back in 2023 will be on January 18.

The staff at the Ipswich Tribune would like to wish all of our readers and advertisers a Merry Christmas and the very best for the New Year.

Thank you to the Ipswich community for your support and for embracing the need for quality journalism in Ipswich.

Every member of the team at the Ipswich Tribune has worked in the newspaper industry in the Ipswich region for many years and we have taken much pride in helping to establish a quality newspaper for the area again.

That includes not only those pictured, but the man on the other side of the lens, Walkey Award winning photographer Lyle Radford, senior journalist and publisher Wendy Creighton, journalist Lara Robinson, Moreton Border News reporter Elizabeth Kington, designers Keith Hawley and Ben Steinhardt, Office Manager (and so much more) Chris Kerkin, distribution Jenni Kaatz, illustrator Tanya Ashworth and our columnists Frank Hampson, Aub Podlich, Loz Antonenko and Denis Smith.

The Ipswich Tribune is the biggest print - online news employer in Ipswich because every step of the production of your leading local newspaper up to printing; from reporting, advertising sales, accounts, administration, pre-press, subbing, layout and design; is all carried out locally in the Ipswich region. The paper is printed at Yandina on the Sunshine Coast.

2022 has been a big year for the Ipswich Tribune welcoming local sports guru David Lems and reporter Rob Mellett to the team, the introduction of our Opinion page and our weekly cartoon, expansion of our Culture section and the addition of Loz Antonenko’s Healthy Habits column.

We were a finalist in the Queensland Clarion Awards for best Regional And Community News Report, winner of the Queensland Country Press Association Journalistic Excellence Award and Best Editorial Campaign Award, and awards for Overall Journalistic Excellence Award for a Newspaper and in the Best News Picture category.

We wish you all a happy holiday season and look forward to keeping you informed with the best local coverage in 2023.
