Step into an experience over coffee at The Emporium
1 min read

THERE’S more than just coffee on offer at The Emporium in Kalbar, there’s an experience to go with it that’s free of charge.

The Emporium’s shop windows face the main road, they’re artistically set up in themed displays.

The aim is to draw people inside and they do.

Inside are multiple sections that are beautifully put together.

There’s a lot to take in so it made sense to have a coffee and sweet treat cafe there too.

The barista’s name is Greg Hunting and he’s perfected the art of coffee making.

“It’s a very relaxed and casual atmosphere with a grand piano playing in the background,” he said.

“We have gluten free option cakes, for now it’s just morning tea but we are in the process of building a savory menu.”

There’s plenty of room to sit and enjoy a cuppa, there’s chairs and tables inside and undercover at the back of the Emporium.

“We offer a variety of teas and they’re all loose-leaf teas,” he said.

“Everything is presented in nice teapots with cups and saucers.

“There are chess boards on some tables where people play while enjoying their tea.”

The coffee beans come from Wolff Roasters in Hendra, Brisbane.

“Peter Wolff has been around for some time and we’ve always liked his coffee,” Greg said.

“We offer all varieties of coffee from macchiatos, espressos to lattes, cappuccinos, long blacks, flat whites and all of the brews and blends.

“Our coffee motto is to try the rest then come for the best.”
