THE Rosewood Railway Museum will have a presence at this year’s Rosewood Show.
The Australian Railway Historical Society’s Queensland Division president Steve Lamprecht said the exhibition was a chance for the community to see history in action.
“We want to get our iconic railway back on track as a working museum that’s open to the public,” he said.
“There’s a need for more members and volunteers, this is an opportunity to show the community what we do and why it’s important.”
He said it was equally important to show the public what they could lose if no one steps up and volunteers to help keep the railway museum going.
Steve has produced an update and summary of the museum in the form of a printed leaflet that will be handed out at the show.
He said it was hoped the community would rally to make Rosewood Railway Museum an attraction people travelled from all over to experience.
The society has a new business plan and is doing what it can to bring the railway back to life.
