WEST Moreton Health has unveiled a newly expanded Silkstone Dental Clinic which will bring free dental care to children and eligible adults.
The clinic will have six treatment spaces – triple the capacity of the old site – which previously treated only school students.
The new facility replaces a much smaller, two-chair clinic dating back to the 1970s, when students received dental care via a mobile van parked on-site at Silkstone State School.
West Moreton Health Chief Executive Hannah Bloch said the expansion reflected the growing need of such health services.
“This upgrade means we can continue to support our growing population with the care they deserve – now extending that same support to adults as well,” Ms Bloch said.
