THE Warrego Highway-Mount Crosby Road interchange upgrade has gone back to the drawing board following overwhelming criticism of the State Government project.

A consultation summary report handed down in July revealed about 70 per cent of the 602 responses from the community were not satisfied that the proposed design would adequately address issues of safety and congestion.

The consultation was held by the Department of Transport and Main Roads in mid-2020.
