Child exploitation material charges – Ipswich

Detectives from Ipswich’s Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 28-year-old North Booval man with multiple offences relating to child exploitation material (CEM).

Police allege the man sent unsolicited sexualised messages to multiple victims via various social media accounts in July and August 2025.

On August 8, investigators executed a search warrant at a North Booval address, seizing several digital devices allegedly containing CEM.

The man has been charged with three counts of stalking, two counts of making child exploitation material, and one count of possessing child exploitation material. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on 14 August.

Detectives believe other members of the community may also have been contacted via social media in an attempt to obtain photographs of children. They are urging anyone with information about suspected child exploitation offences to come forward.

Investigations remain ongoing.
